What is Dermasweep and how does it work?
A Dermasweep treatment exfoliates your skin, increases blood flow, and stimulates collagen production. Your Redwood City medical aesthetician uses a variable-level vacuum and a variety of different treatment tips, which gently lift the skin, removing the outermost layer and cleaning pores. Once that portion of the treatment is complete, specific infusions are administered based on your own unique skin type.
What do the infusions do?
Dermasweep infusions, which are called SkinFusions, can be used to treat an assortment of specific dermatological problems. They are divided into three categories: EpiFusions, which can address skin lightening, brightening, and dehydration; PremiumFusions, which contain powerful ingredients such as peptides to reverse signs of aging and repair damaged skin; and PeelFusions, which serve the same purpose as having a chemical peel but more quickly and with less peeling and flaking.
What can you expect during a Dermasweep treatment?
Undergoing a Dermasweep procedure is safe and pain-free. There is no downtime required after treatment, and it can be used on all skin types. It's also safe to be applied to sensitive skin or even around the eyes. A typical appointment lasts 30 minutes, but the total treatment length will depend on your skin type and any specific aesthetic concerns you want to have addressed. You may feel a slight skin tightening after the exfoliation portion, and your skin may feel warm and have a pinkish glow for about 30 minutes once treatment concludes.
How long does it take to see results from Dermasweep?
Patients usually see some difference in their appearance following the first treatment, but it often takes three to six treatments to see major, long-lasting results.
