What can microneedling treat?

How does microneedling with CosmoPen work?
Before the procedure begins, a product selected to specifically address your concerns is applied to your skin. We then use the CosmoPen to create thousands of small channels in your skin, allowing the product to absorb much more effectively than if it was simply being applied to the skin surface. These incredibly small punctures also stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins vital to healthy-looking skin. Not only do these proteins stimulate your skin's healing, but they produce a more youthful look while reversing signs of aging.
What areas of my body can receive a microneedling treatment?
Simply put, anywhere. If you're concerned about scarring or aging on the face, we can perform microneedling there. Microneedling with CosmoPen can address everything from balding on your head to stretch marks on your stomach. You have skin everywhere and your issues don't limit themselves to areas convenient for traditional treatment at a spa.
Does microneedling with the CosmoPen hurt?
We apply a topical anesthetic before starting the procedure. With the help of this anesthetic and our trained staff, most patients agree that microneedling is pain-free.
How soon can I get back to living my life?
CosmoPen’s microneedling procedure doesn't require much recovery time. Our patients at GLOW Surgical Arts often restart their normal routines within 24 hours and we recommend waiting 24 hours before using makeup. There may be some redness associated with the treatment but it will gradually subside within the first couple of days after the procedure.
When will I see results and how long will it last?
Your skin is unique... just like you. We prefer to schedule consultations with any patient interested in microneedling. This visit is the best way to determine if microneedling is right for you and how many treatments you will need. Severe skin issues may require six treatments, while more superficial issues can be resolved in a single appointment. Repeat treatments should be scheduled at least two weeks apart. Most patients reap the benefits of microneedling for up to a year.
Is microneedling right for me?
