Getting Natural-Looking Breast Implants
When it comes to breasts, you want the shape and size to complement your figure and make you look your best. That’s why thousands of women undergo successful breast augmentation each year. Whether you go with larger or smaller breasts, most women have one main concern: they want to look natural.
Of course, what looks natural on one woman may not be desirable on another. And, “natural” means different things to different people. That’s why when you’re deciding upon the implant size you want, you’ll need to take into account not only your own wishes, but also the size of your frame, how you want your clothes to fit, and what’s practical for your body type.
A personal preference
As with any cosmetic procedure, your own personality and lifestyle will play a role in what’s best for you. If you’re very active, for instance, then going with the largest possible implant may not be right for you. You could find that very large breasts tend to interfere with activities you enjoy, or that it’s difficult to find a supportive enough sports bra for high-impact exercise.
Still, many women desire a fuller look, and want to have the maximum amount of curves for their body type. If you’re thinking about implants, you may already have a clear idea of what you want, or you may still be debating what’s best for you. Trying on implants with your cosmetic surgeon, talking with him or her about the look you want, and looking at before and after photos can go a long way in helping you decide. You can talk about the different sizes and how they will suit your look and your activities. A good surgeon will ultimately give you an honest opinion about the implants that will work for you, but will also listen closely to what you want. He or she will want you to be thrilled with the final result, so the size you choose should be a mutually agreed upon decision between you and your surgeon.
Do it for you
Remember that a procedure such as breast augmentation has one ultimate goal: to give you more confidence and make you feel great. The size of your implants should be your decision, because they’re a part of your body and your life. Sometimes, unsolicited advice from friends or a significant other may make you doubt your decision, but try to put that aside and do what feels right for you. Your body plays a big role in who you are, how you relate to others, and how you feel. It’s a decision only you can make for yourself.
