Plasma Pen treatments are a non-surgical technique used on eyelids, jawlines, smoker lines, and wrinkles to give the face a more youthful appearance. The cosmetic surgeons at GLOW Surgical Arts want to show you all of the intriguing ways that a Plasma Pen procedure could be everything you have been waiting for to transform your appearance for the better. **What is Plasma Pen?** Plasma Pen procedures use plasma to sublimate tissues with a small electrical arc, similar to a lightning bolt. This mini bolt of lightning is created with ionized gas. This electrical arc is then used to treat dermal and epidermal areas via heat. This heat will cause the contraction of skin cells, such as fibroblast cells. Those cells then tighten. This plasma manipulation causes a reduction of excess skin and wrinkles, also tightening and toning your skin. **How Plasma Pen differs from laser therapy** One could ask “Isn’t Plasma Pen just an ablative laser?” The answer is no.
