With injectable fillers and neuromodulators, it’s possible to erase years from your face with a quick, painless office procedure. There are a wide variety of [injectables](https://www.glowsurgicalarts.com/our-procedures/face/fillers-lip-enhancement/)available, each tailored to address specific areas of the face, hands or neck. One popular option is Dysport, which has also been sold under the name Reloxin. Like Botox, Dysport is made from the bacterium clostridium botulinum. When injected, it relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles on your forehead and around your eyes. ## What Areas Can Be Treated with Dysport? Dysport is optimal for treating frown lines that occur between your eyebrows, horizontal lines on your forehead, and crow’s feet around your eyes. It can also help you achieve a little eyebrow lift which opens up your overall appearance. ## Is Dysport Safe? The Food and Drug Administration approved Dysport for use in people under the age of 65 in 2009. However, it’s been successfully used in Europe since the 1990s. It’s safe for all skin tone and skin types. Pregnant or nursing mothers should ask a doctor before having the treatment. ## How is Dysport Different than Botox? Both products essentially work the same way. Even so, some people argue the merits of one over another. In general, since it contains smaller particles, Dysport takes effect quicker than Botox. However, Dysport can also migrate out of the intended treatment area more readily, and it may not last as long as Botox in some cases. Dysport does tends to cost less than Botox in many markets.
