Do Cellulite Treatments Work For Cottage Cheese?

It’s not a serious medical condition, but it’s something that seriously affects the way we feel about how we look. Cellulite. It’s practically a dirty word. The dimpled skin look found most often on the thighs, hips, buttocks and stomach is a result of unevenness of fatty tissues beneath the skin surface. Once it shows up, the question becomes: is there an effective, long term treatment?

How do you get that smooth, soft skin back? Though it may be tempting to simply cut it off.....don't do that. We just can't recommend it.

Liposuction is an option, but there are no guarantees it will have the desired effect. In fact, it’s possible that it could make it worse. There are types of massage that are billed as cellulite solutions. A technician uses a vacuum-like hand piece while massaging, and its suction and motorized rollers suck up skin, delivering an intense, deep tissue massage. It’s a less pricey alternative, but it’s also one that offers no guarantee of success, let alone long term results.

Spa treatments might feature combinations of clay masks and electric currents designed to rejuvenate your skins appearance. The cellulite might even look less prominent afterwards. It usually comes right back in a matter of hours, however. Creams are available all over the internet despite there being little evidence they actually work. There are laser treatments and light-therapy options, too. They’re expensive and the effects are, at best, temporary, and require constant upkeep and maintenance.

In other words, in our battle to get rid of the cottage cheese everyone hates, there is a plethora of unproven, ineffective, temporary and expensive options to choose from. Nothing really appears to be a sound investment, and the only guarantee is that cellulite is depressingly resilient.

However, that is not to say it’s hopeless.

Nobody likes having cellulite on their body. While there might not be a quick, easy fix, we are always happy to discuss a personal strategy that makes sense. In the meantime, it’s worth noting that the best answer to the cellulite question is one that you control and it’s free. Diet and exercise can and will make a difference.

You don’t have to accept the cottage cheese look. We all want to look our best, and at GLOW Skin Revived, we certainly understand that. Feel free to schedule your free consultation to learn how we can help.
